the family yoga project
The Family Yoga Project is more than just movement and poses.
Family Connection
It’s about learning and incorporating the expansive set of yoga values into our everyday lives. It’s about opportunities for family connection through yoga.
Life Skills for Kids
It’s about providing children a variety of skills they can use as they grow and navigate life’s ups and downs. It’s about them living a life that invites more kindness, compassion, awareness, self-discovery, and peacefulness.
Life Skills for Parents
It’s about offering parents opportunities to learn and practice skills that invite more patience, self-compassion, and clarity as they navigate the joys and challenges of parenthood.
Mindfulness
It’s about offering shared yoga language between family members and it’s about gaining convenient mindfulness tools that can be accessed anytime, anywhere.
Community
It’s about the power of community with other families because as we know, we are not meant to do this thing called life alone.

Your Family Yoga Project
The Family Yoga Project, based in Boston MA, offers yoga classes and workshops for children and families. We offer in-person programs for school-age children which includes virtual and in-person resources for parents.
Each program is 8-weeks which includes a progressive curriculum where students will learn yoga skills such as breath work, yoga poses, meditation, mantra and rest, all which can benefit children in many ways. Studies show that yoga can help children manage anxiety, improve emotional regulation, enhance self-esteem, improve attention span, promote healthy and positive social skills, build strength, and improve balance and flexibility. And since children learn best by play and exploration, each class is designed using a similar format and includes multi-sensory, interactive and fun activities such as books, music, crafts and games.
As parents of the program, you will be sent weekly communication with an overview of the skills your children learned and tips for how they can be incorporated at home. You will also have access to short videos of yoga practices provide you with convenient tools to use on your parenting journey.
The program ends with a parent-child combined class and families will leave with a toolkit of simple and useful practices and activities that they can continue to use at home, share with other family members or build upon in future programs through The Family Yoga Project.
